Ice Cream Sandwich, Hood or Jack & Jill, USA
Top of totem pole, undefeated dessert!
The original was conceived ~1899 on the Bowery in NYC by a street vendor who pressed slabs of ice cream between two wafers and sold em for a penny. This evolved until perfection was achieved by New England's HP Hood.
Produced at a rate of 1 per second to keep up with demand, and priced at $2.29-3.50 FOR TWO(!) at select retailers. Spending more leads to diminishing returns. You can't get better on this than the least expensive version on the market. Serve wrapped on china.
